Junior Squad

Overview: This entry-level competitive squad introduces swimmers to structured training and local competition.

  • Training Focus: Core techniques, endurance building, and race strategy fundamentals.
  • Benefits: Fosters commitment, resilience, and prepares swimmers for progressive competitive levels.
  • Practice Frequency:
    • Tuesday: 7:00 - 8:00 pm (GYCA)
    • Thursday: 6:30 - 7:30pm (Marina)
    • Friday: 6:00 - 7:00 pm (Phoenix)
    • Sunday: 5:00 - 6:00 pm (Phoenix)
  • Requirements: Completion of entry-level swim skills, suited to structured training.

Junior Performance Squad

Overview: Designed for junior swimmers progressing within competitive pathways, with more intensive training and local competition standards.

  • Training Focus: Advanced techniques, speed, endurance, and race strategies.
  • Benefits: Builds focus, time management skills, and prepares swimmers for transition into high-level competitive squads.
  • Practice Frequency:
    • Tuesday: 7:00 - 8:00 pm (GYCA)
    • Wednesday: 6:30 - 7:30 pm (GYCA)
    • Thursday: 6:30 - 7:30 pm (Marina)
    • Friday: 6:00 - 7:00 pm (Phoenix)
    • Sunday: 5:00 - 6:00 pm (Phoenix)
  • Requirements: Completion of Junior Squad or equivalent level; coach recommendation.

Performance Squad

Overview: Our elite squad, focused on preparing swimmers for top-level competitions with intense training and advanced conditioning.

  • Training Focus: High-intensity sessions, race tactics, and mental preparation for competitive excellence.
  • Benefits: Encourages peak performance, discipline, and leadership as squad members serve as role models within the club.

    • Monday: 6:00 - 8:00 pm (GYCA)

    • Thursday: 7:30 - 9:00 pm (Marina)

  • Requirements: Competitive experience, significant commitment, and selection by head coach.

Club / Masters Squad

Overview: A flexible, social squad for adults, offering both casual and competitive training options.
