Welcome to Great Yarmouth Swimming Club

Our mission statement is:
"To ensure all members of the club have an opportunity to learn to swim and to achieve their own personal goals"

Great Yarmouth Swimming Club is a competitive swimming club, catering for swimmers of all ages and abilities. It aims to promote the sport of swimming by providing a comprehensive training programme to help swimmers achieve their full potential. Training sessions are tailored to meet the needs of individual swimmers according to their levels of ambition and ability.

The club uses the facilities of the Phoenix pool in Bradwell and the Great Yarmouth High School pool in Great Yarmouth.

There are various levels of competitions available ranging from mini galas for novice swimmers through to club championships, county, regional and national events.

I hope that you all enjoyed the Christmas and New Year break and are now ready to begin the hard training required to ensure that we build on last years successes. I want 2010 to be one of the club's most succesful years. Snow has caused some disruption, we had to cancel the sessions when advised, but hopefully we will have no further disruption.

Garry Jarvis
