Midsummer Madness – 2014 – report

Swimming in the Midsummer Long Course Meet at the U.EA on Saturday, Great Yarmouth came back with some good results.

The Grice family were in fine form,with George winning the 200m Freestyle, and 50m Backstroke, a second in the 50m Freestyle, and third in the 50 m Fly. Not to be out done Harry came in with first place 100m Backstroke, second 100m Breastroke, 100m Fly, 200m I/M, and third 100m Freestyle.  

In a thrilling close finish 50m Freestyle race Alexander Goff got a third and a new P.B. Jacob Zanderberg had to fight hard in his races but was rewarded with two thirds 50m Fly and Backstroke.  
For the girls Julianna Mercado stayed with the leaders all the way in a touch finishes for second place 50m Breastroke, third 50m Backstroke and 50m Freestyle. Anna Pearce swimming in the same age group continued her good form with a second 50m Fly and a third 200I/M. Jenna Utting in a strong age group just missed first place with seconds in both the 100m Freestyle and 200m, and thirds in the 50m Fly and 200m I/M    
Although missing out on the medals but all rcording new P.Bs good competitive swimming came from Macey James, Lauren James, Amelia Driver, and Isabella Driver.
