Swimming - Welfare

Swimmers and adults may contact our Club Welfare Officer with any concerns, in confidence by e-mail at: This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it or you may telephone Joanne Smith on 01493 722997.

Alternately you may wish to contact the ASA Swimline number - details of which are below:

Swimline: 0808 100 4001

Swimline_logoThe Amateur Swimming Association is committed to promoting the welfare of children in our sport. That is why they have joined with the National Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children to create SwimLine. The service is provided for anyone involved in swimming, including children and young people who believe that the welfare of a young child is at risk. This could be neglect or abuse, bullying or fear of someone, or anything that is worrying you and you don't know who to discuss it with.

You can press a number to transfer straight to the NSPCC Child Protection Helpline.

British Swimming also have a section of their website specifically for young swimmers - here's what they say about it:

"This is your website and the place where you as a young swimmer can make your voice heard. You can talk about anything that matters to you from the support you get from your coach, who you talk to when you're upset, and who helps you when swimming gets challenging or difficult."
