Team Gy won the Norwich & Peterbro' Cup last night with a convincing performance against their rival teams at the Phoenix Pool. It was the depth of talent throughout the squad that enabled the team to ease into the lead after the first few events and then keep the points total steadily climbing ahead of their nearest rivals. Teams from Aylsham, Leiston and Diss pushed the holders hard but excellent performances from the Great Yarmouth squad which included a large number of personal bests meant the cup would be returned to the Great Yarmouth trophy cabinet. There is always a good atmosphere at the Phoenix but tonight with so many great personal performances and great encouragement from fellow team members, Team Gy left the pool having done an excellent job. results
