Mrs. Blackwell Retires

Cynthia Blackwell who has held the post of Treasurer at the Great Yarmouth Swimming Club for the last thirty one years has now retired. It is a remarkable length of service and commitment to any voluntary group but for a swimming club with it's large and constantly changing membership it is exceptional. The Great Yarmouth Swimming Club, it's present and those past members of the last thirty one years, owe a huge debt of gratitude to Cynthia for all her hard work. Her last day as Treasurer of the club was marked with a small presentation at the club's Annual General Meeting. Presenting a gift of a clock and a bouquet of flowers the Club Chairman Paola Moore said "it is a great privilege to be able to make this presentation to such a remarkable lady". Cynthia will be able to continue her involvement in some of the club events in her capacity as an Honorary Life Member of the club.
