Mayor's Civic Reception

Following an invitation from the Mayor's office to GYSC to attend a Civic Service at St Nicholas Parish Church today; a group of keen representatives, namely: Emily and Natasha Pestka, Jo and Ben Banham, Jo and Tom Smith, Connor Webster and Andrew, Oscar and Paola Moore sang their hearts out in the cool and airy ancient house of prayer.

The Mayor's theme for this year is sport in the borough, especially related to young people. With the collection in church being divided between the Church Fabric Appeal and the Mayor's Charity Fund; two other clubs, The Kingfisher Boxing Club and The Caister Air Cadets attended.

After the service, an informal parade, through the sunny streets of Yarmouth, led to a reception at the Town Hall, where we mingled with Elected Councillors and other noteable people of the Borough, while munching on cakes and cookies.
