The East Region is made up of six counties and the boys have been unable to achieve the qualification times until this year. All of them achieved the qualifying time for 50M Fly earlier in the year and swam it at the weekend well within that time achieving Life-time bests:- Oliver Postle (29.0Secs), Tom Smith (29.1Secs) and Daniel Henderson (29.4Secs). These personal best times have also qualified them to swim at the ASA East Region Youth Championships in Basildon, Essex in May 2012.

Daniel Henderson also swam in the 50M Breaststroke achieving another life-time best of 32.5Secs which gained him a place in a regional final. Daniel (Men's Captain of the club) said of his achievement "It was a very proud moment for me and it was nice to represent Great Yarmouth in a final at such a major swimming competition".

Katie Nesbitt also represented the club at the competition. Katie being the only girl from the club and being so much younger was a little nervous but pulled out some amazing personal bests for herself and Great Yarmouth Swimming Club.

The Club would like to congratulate all of the above swimmers and wish them much luck in May at Basildon.
