Diss Tiddlers 2011 - Report

Swimming in the Tiddlers Gala at Diss on Saturday Great Yarmouth came away in first place with 114 points, North Norfolk Vikings 96, Diss 82 and Hadleigh 68.

The 9yrs. boys gave the club an early lead with first places for Samuel Skuse, Breastroke, Fly and Scott Ribbons, Backstroke with a second in Freestyle. The girls added points with Jenna Martin winning the Freestyle and second place in Fly and a second place for Hollie Haylett in Backstroke.

The 10 yrs got off to a good start with Miles Houghton winning the Breastroke and Fly and a second place for Ryan Webb in the Backstroke. For the girls Clarissa Burwood won the Breastroke and Fly in fine style whilst Natsha Mansfield Holly just missed first place with two seconds Backstroke and Freestyle.

For the 11yrs Liam Hanley had to fight hard for his second place in the Backstroke, as did Ashvin Seetul for a third in the Freestyle. Amelia Driver raced away to a new PB to win the Backstroke, and second in the Breastroke, Isobel Robbins gave her all but had to be content with second place behind the Vikings swimmer in the Freestyle and Fly.

Jake Honey in the 12yrs was a clear winner in Freestyle but had to take second place in the Fly. Jamie King did well for his second place in Breastroke. Loretta Askew came in with two excellent first places, Freestyle and Fly, Katie Nesbitt continued a winning spell with new PB's for a first place in Breastroke and a second in Backstroke.
