A.G.M. 2010 Report

Friday, 19 November 2010 10:48

Chairman_2010At a very well attended A.G.M. last Wednesday, Clare Spry (left in picture) was appointed as the new Club Chairman. Outgoing Chairman Paola Moore (right in picture) said "it has been a tremendous two years and I must thank many people for making it so enjoyable. I wish Clare the very best, I am sure that she will be great in the position, please be very kind to Her". Clare thanked Paola for all her dedication and hard work and added "If I am able to achieve half of what you have done, I would be very happy".

The evening also sawTreasurer_2010 the retirement of Julie Andrews (right in picture) from the position of Club Treasurer and Debbie Applegate from the position of Minutes Secretary. Paola, Julie and Debbie were all presented with flowers by the Club Secretary Jo Smith (left in picture).

Roger_2010Other presentations made on the evening were to Cynthia Blackwell and Roger Caton (left in picture). The presentations were made by Julie Andrews as President of the Norfolk County A.S.A. and were awarded to Cynthia and Roger by the Eastern Region in recognition of their outstanding contributions to the Club. Earlier in the year Pat Hollis was also a recipient of an Eastern Region award for her outstanding contribution to the club.

Reports were presented by the Chief Coach, the Social and Fundraising Committee and the Finance Committee but the most exciting part of the evening is always the election of our Club Captains. Congratulations to the winners, you may view the full list of appointments here.
