Jack Utting smashed the British 13y/o 100m Backstroke Record with a superb swim in a time of 1.00.70.

Team GY at the West Norfolk Open

Team GY sent a large team to this years West Norfolk Open Meet. With conditions at the pool being a little cooler than in previous years the team raced with their usual determination and achieved some excellent results.

Suffolk Summer League 2011 Round 2

The Club hosted the second round of the Suffolk Summer League at the Phoenix pool on Saturday evening. With two teams from Lowestoft & Oulton Broad and the team fron Leiston Swimming Club there was plenty of competition for the  two teams we had entered. Lowestoft & Oulton Broad 'A'  won the event with Great Yarmouth 'A' in second place. The results however are compared between two other Suffolk League galas held on the same evening, running the same events to create a 'virtual gala' involving all these teams. The position of the Great Yarmouth teams in this overall gala are not known at this moment in time.

Diss Tiddlers 2011

Last night the Great Yarmouth team enjoyed success at this years Diss Tiddlers gala. Competing against teams from Diss, North Norfolk Vikings and Hadleigh, Great Yarmouth finished in first place. Chief Coach, Garry Jarvis was delighted with the 22 personal best times and commented "very well done to you all - a really good win for the club"

C H Beckett 2011 Round 1

The first round of this years C H Beckett Trophy was held on Sunday morning at the Great Yarmouth High School Pool. Visiting teams from North Norfolk Vikings, Long Stratton and Harleston travelled to the pool, for some of these swimmers it was their first competitive gala. Despite the limited seating and warm conditions the large number of spectators provided great support and a great atmosphere for the swimmers.
