Success at the Nifty Fifties 2011

Team GY achieved 18 First Place, 15 Second Place and 13 Third Place finishes in this years Nifty Fifty Gala held at Thetford last weekend. With 85 personal best times set, it was a great performance from all the team.

The club would like to congratulate its Chairman, Mrs Clare Spry and Mr Nigel Martins who were married at the weekend. The Ceremony took place at Bradwell with a reception held at the Cliff Hotel Gorleston.

Regional Open Water

On Sunday four swimmers from Great Yarmouth Swimming Club competed in the East Region 2011 Open-Water Championships and Age Groups competitions, incorporating the County Championships at Whitlingham. Lauren James, Bethany Burwood and Alexander Goff competed in the 800m event with Daniel Smith swimming the 3k event.
