GY Triumph at the Tiddlers

Great Yarmouth secured victory in a thrilling encounter at the 2010 Diss Tiddlers Gala. For some of our young swimmers it was their first competitive event away from home, they swam very well and to achieve this success bodes very well for the future.

The Great Yarmouth team had to be content with second place in this keenly fought contest. North Norfolk Vikings emerged the winners with 110 points, Great Yarmouth Blue 103 points, Long Stratton 95 points and Great Yarmouth White 68 points. Great Yarmouth will be hoping to make up this seven point defecit at the next and final round of this competition which is being held in November.

6th of May is Masters Day

The Great Yarmouth Swimming Club are delighted to announce that from the 6th May they are holding Masters swimming sessions. These are structured swimming sessions for competent swimmers over the age of 18. They will be held at the Great Yarmouth High School pool on a Thursday evening at 8pm.

Chief Coach Garry Jarvis said "This is very new to me but I am sure that it will be a great success. I am looking forward to meeting some new members of the club and I am quite excited at the prospect of being able to send and accompany a Masters team to galas."
