GYSC 'What a Weekend'

With four teams in action over the weekend and the opportunity of promotion in the Suffolk Summer Junior League, Head Coach Garry Jarvis had this to say "Congratulations to all the teams that swam this weekend, we had some fantastic results and it has made me extremely proud of you all. Team spirit was in abundance, as were several personal best times"

GYSC 'B' team finished a very creditable 3rd in their division of the Suffolk Junior Summer League. The final round of this competition was held at Sudbury last night and with some fine performances from the team they were able to maintain their position in the league ahead of the Lowestoft & Oulton Broad 'C' team. Great Yarmouth Swimming Club's Jack Utting set a new regional record at the Eastern Region Age Group Championships held at the U.E.A. Pool earlier this month. Jack was in devastating form throughout the two weekends of racing gaining Bronze, Silver and Gold medals as well as setting a new regional record in the 100 metre Backstroke event. If his competitors had not heard much about Jack prior to this meeting then they all know about him now! report and picsgysc.org.uk

Today sees the launch of Great Yarmouth Swimming Club's new website. Designed by Marcus Fletcher of Logic Red Web Design, the site offers the club a great new opportunity to get its message across. Paola Moore the Club Chairman said "we wanted to create a site that would appeal to both club members and a wider audience" she added "Our target was to create one of the best swimming club sites on the internet and I think we have achieved that".
