Arena National League 2011 Round 3

The third and final round of the 2011 Arena National Swimming League East Division was held at Loughborough on the 10th December 2011. With swimmers unavailable due to other commitments it was a great credit to the swimmers, officials and parents who made the journey and made sure Great Yarmouth was represented in this important competition.

Club Sprints Gala - 2012

The Club 50m Sprints Gala is being held at the Phoenix Pool on Sunday 8th January 2012.

All squad swimmers are requested to enter, lists are at the Phoenix and High School Pools. Closing date for entries wil be two days before the event.

We will not be charging for spectators to the event but spectators will be given the oportunity to try out timekeeping and other officials duties!

Squad Christmas Timetable - 2011

The last date for training at the Phoenix Pool is the morning session on Thursday 22 December 2011. The Phoenix will then be closed over the Christmas and New Year holiday, the first session of 2012 is on the morning of Thursday 5th January.

Training at the High School Pool will continue throughout the holiday period with the exception of Tuesday 27th December and Wednesday 28th December when the pool will be closed.

The Great Yarmouth Swimming Club 78th Annual Presentation Evening, Dinner and Dance is being held tonight at the Royal Assembly Rooms, Great Yarmouth, 7.00 for 7.30pm. There will be no squad swimming sessions at the Phoenix this evening.

Wednesday 14th December - Squad Sessions Cancelled

Due to continued staff training at the High School Pool on the evening of Wednesday 14th December, there will be no squad training on that evening. Regretably the club is unable to change the timing of this training as it is being run by the school themselves. I would remind swimmers that we offer 48 weeks of swimming in the year, if pool closure has prevented this then you may attend alternative sessions subject to arrangement with the Chief Coach.
