Club History from California
Thursday, 01 July 2010 13:27
Ken Mason, a resident of California U.S.A. has sent the club a family heirloom. A newspaper article from 1897, it describes a swimming race involving his grandfather which was held in the sea in June 1897. Paola Moore the Club Chairman said "it is incredibly generous of Ken and his family to let us have this lovely item, it will really help us pass on our rich heritage to the current generation". The club will be displaying the article in the Phoenix trophy cabinet just as soon as it has taken advice on how best to preserve it.
