A.G.M. on Wednesday

We would like to remind members that the A.G.M. is being held this Wednesday 17th November 2010 at Gorleston Library commencing 7.30pm. It is your opportunity to vote for next years Club Captains (secret ballot) and also receive a review of the the clubs successes and failures over the last year. If you have any issues you would like to raise concerning the running of the club you may do so and if you would like to take up a voluntary position at the club it is the ideal place to say so.

Age Group 2010 Results

Last night the club held the first round of their 2010 Age Group Championships at the Phoenix Pool. A great night of competitive swimming saw 68 Personal Best times achieved, five new Age Group records broken and one new Club Championship record set. Watching the competition was Dr William Hamilton-Deane who has just re-joined the club as a Masters swimmer at the age of 85.

Great Yarmouth v Linslade Crusaders 2010

On Tuesday evening at the High School Pool Great Yarmouth and Linslade Crusaders held their annual swimming competition. Linslade Crusaders are a swimming club from Leighton Buzzard who hold a swimming camp over the half-term at the High School Pool. The Crusaders had won the competition last year and with Great Yarmouth keen for victory this year we enjoyed a very good evening of  competitive swimming. Great support for all the swimmers and parents, Great Yarmouth Blue team won the event with Great Yarmouth White team in third place and Great Yarmouth Yellow in fifth.

Club Championship 2010 Results

Saturday night saw the last round of the Club Championships 2010 held at the Phoenix Pool. A good evening of swimming saw two Club Championship Records broken and the majority of competitors obtained new Personal Bests. The provisional results which are subject to confirmation by the Trophy Officer have been published.
