Club Spring Mini Gala 2011

Last weekend saw the Club hold it's Spring Mini-Gala at the High School Pool. There were some fine swims from the young competitors who were each presented with a Certificate of Participation at the end of each race series.

Ipswich Open Meet Success

A large number of swimmers from the Club attended the Ipswich Open Meet this weekend, fifty nine Personal Best times were recorded. Team GY achieved ten first place finishes with the team finishing in fourth place out of the twenty one visiting teams. Special mention must go to Atlanta Jarvis, second in her age group, Daniel Smith, second in the 16+ and Charlie Smith third in the 16+ age group.

High School Saturday Lessons Change of Start Date

Unfortunately the High School swimming lesson on the 8th January has had to be cancelled. This is due to a number of the teaching staff being unavailable on that date. The first Saturday High School swimming lesson of the year will now be on the 15th January 2011.
